Storm
Dyed merino wool, upcycled yarn. Wet felted.
This abstract piece has a strong prevalence of greys, with pewter, black and blue accents. Some green areas and white hints, especially in the upper and lower parts of the painting. Upcycled yarn gives structure to the roil of colours and an interesting 3D texture.
Traces
Merino wool, silk. Wet and needle felted.
An abstract landscape that will guide you through Nature's wonders. A walk on the sand that brings a graphic message, Nature's language inscribed on soft rocks and underlined by water drawings, shadows and light talking of mysterious shapes: all around us, meaning brings us emotions, such as in this wet and needle felted small piece, with its textural feeling and the dialogue of its bright and its dark colours.
Space 3
Dyed and undyed merino wool, undyed wool locks, upcycled yarn. Wet felted.
This abstract piece takes you to a primeval unstructured space where shapes are forming and dissolving. It has a strong prevalence of greys, and some brown, light brown and light blues. Some green hints are here and there, especially in the upper part of the painting. This felt picture gets its dynamic feeling from undyed curly wool locks and upcycled yarn, that gives it a 3D texture.
A day at the beach 1
Merino wool. Wet felted.
This abstract landscape gives shape to the experience of colours, shapes and textures found in nature. Warmer and colder colours blend together in a suggestive way, with a prevalence of beige-browns and blues, and some yellow accents. The use of felted wool of different thickness over a pure black wool background gives this artwork an interesting tridimensional feeling.
Refusal
Merino wool, upcycled silk fabric. Wet felted.
This abstract piece is all about dark and complex emotions, with a hint of bright yellow hope. Its prevalence of greys and wine reds on a raven black background makes for a powerful statement. The textures are varied and interesting due to the additions of different materials that give this artwork a tridimensional feeling. The viewer is brought along on an inner exploration of self.
Nest 1
Merino wool. Wet felted.
This abstract small-sized artwork features a neutral coloured background and shapes in different tones of brown, with bright yellow and dark green accents. This textured piece with its nature inspired colours may remind the viewer of the interconnections of nests, a feeling of being contained yet not constrained by bonds of relationship, with the hint of an openess to the outside in the yellow and green more outlying shapes.
Nest 2
Dyed and undyed merino wool. Wet felted.
This small abstract piece is a meditation on the concept of “nest”. Over a pewter grey background, a nest-like shape is laid. The painting features a prevalence of greys and browns in the nest-shape, with a single green detail on its left and a bright red shape pointing out and up on its right. The nest-shape is a distinct forward layer and gives the painting a tridimensional feeling.
A day at the beach 2
Merino wool. Wet felted.
A bold abstract piece that features yellow and grey horizontal stripes with moving bright and dark red accents over a raven black background. The tridimensional textures of the wool stripes add to the dynamism of this abstract landscape that remids the viewer of a dramatic sunset on the beach.
