Merino wool, undyed Blue Faced Leicester wool, upcycled yarn, undyed Eri silk, undyed Habotari silk fabric, dyed Teeswater wool locks. Wet felted, macramé, hand woven.

This complex abstract piece is about conversations, how they weave and go in between interstices of meaning, memories, experiences. How they exist in a context and delve into our deep being, then come up again to our surface. How there are knots of thought and lines of reasoning, and all of that is much less rational and straightforward than we want to pretend. Messy actually, a bit on the surface and a bit on the subconscious plane.

All stuck together with an aggregant of personal relationship that grips our thin fibers one by one and felts them together in our social life through conversations.

The main colours of background and foreground are cold ones ( bold greys, blues and greens), with some yellow, pale pink and wine red accents. The prominent irregular macraméed and handwoven square gives the piece a strong 3D character.

This square piece is medium-sized (around 43x43 cm, unmounted) and will be a tasteful addition to any space.
